Marc Hill ACO

Camera Operator

Marc is a steadicam and camera operator working across TV, Film, Commercials and Music Promos. 

With 20 years experience in the industry he bring a collaborative approach to working with Directors and Cinematographers. Marcs extensive experience also expends to leading workshops for the ACO in Camera Operating, giving you a unique insight into the skills required of a professional operator.

Rick Joaquim SASC

Cinematographer

Rick Joaquim is a multi-award-winning cinematographer based in London, known for his rich visual style and collaborative approach to storytelling. Originally from South Africa, his work spans narrative, commercial, and music video projects, with credits screening at Sundance, Cannes, and Aesthetica.

He was featured in ARRI’s 2019 global showreel and named “Best Cinematographer” at the British Short Film Awards in both 2022 and 2024. Rick also won the SAFTA for Best Cinematography in a Documentary and was selected for two consecutive ASC Vision Mentorship Programmes under Jess Hall ASC BSC and Alice Brooks ASC.

Previous Experience

This course is designed for aspiring operators and cinematographers looking to build confidence in visual storytelling and the fundamentals of operating in Film & HETV.

Commitment to Training

Attendees should demonstrate a willingness to follow guidance and ability to work as a team. Filmmaking is a collaborative process and Crew Studio champions teamwork, whilst letting each member learn at their own pace.

Strong Written and Spoken English

This course is taught in English, so a strong level of spoken English is desirable to ensure you can benefit from our training.
